Blanco Dental was founded in 2021 to serve the dental needs of Western Nevada County. It is a work of passion to serve the dental needs of a community we love. Our team strives to provide excellent and friendly dental care, educate our patients about their oral health. To pursue that purpose, we’ve put the best team together.

Carolina

Dr. Carolina Blanco was born, raised, and educated in El Salvador, Central America. She graduated from Alberto Masferrer Salvadoran University and not too long later moved to the United States.

After passing the National Dental Board Part I & II, the Restorative Technique Examination (an exam for foreign trained dentists only), and California Dental Board, she obtained her dentist’s license in 2007. ADA, CDA, and BSDS member.

When she’s not working, she loves growing vegetables and flowers, and playing with her cats – Black Beary and Mila.

Katy

Katy was born and raised in San Diego, moved to Grass Valley in 2010. She was a certified nursing assistant before attending Kaplan college in Sacramento to become a registered dental assistant in 2016.

After working for several local dental practices, Katy joined Blanco Dental in 2022, being the main assistant in the back office. Katy is compassionate about her career, feels blessed to be serving patients’ oral healthcare needs in our community.

In her spare time, Katy enjoys spending time with her son, hiking, and going to church.

Wendy

Wendy was raised in Grass Valley with 3 sisters. She attended Scotten School, Lyman Gilmore, and graduated from Union High School in 2010.

She worked in the veterinary field for several years to move into the dental field in 2019, working as a sterilization technician and a dental assistant. In 2021, Wendy joined Blanco Dental as a dental assistant to then run the front office. She can be seen in the front office helping patients understand the financial side or scheduling appointments.

Outside of work, Wendy enjoys spending time with her daughter, family and 50 chickens. 

Maya

Maya was born and raised in Grass Valley. She attended Union Hill School, Nevada Union High School, and graduated from Sierra College in 2021.

Her career in the dental field started in Blanco Dental that same summer of 2021. Taken under Dr. Blanco’s wing, she has grown and expanded in various aspects as a dental assistant. Maya has completed dental training at the Fade Institute in Folsom.

Maya is the greatest floater in our friendly team, and can be seen either helping out with our procedures in the rooms or at the front desk. She enjoys spending time with her family, shopping, and traveling.

Amanda

Amanda was born and raised in Nevada County. She started her career in dental at a clinic in the rural area of Nevada county in 2018.

Amanda has been working at Blanco Dental from the very beginning, when the practice started in May 2021, and she has been an integral part of the practice as it has been growing over its first years. Amanda loves to help patients improve their oral health.

When not at work, you can find Amanda paddle boarding at Scotts Flat.

Iñaki

Iñaki was born in the Basque Country, moved to San Francisco in 1995. After attending City College, he worked twenty years in film, graphic design and publishing, then at City Hall.

Iñaki moved to Nevada County in 2017, a community he loves. He helped start Blanco Dental in 2021, working on billing, accounting, and human resources, building a friendly and warm team of professionals.

When off work Iñaki is biking, hiking, at the movies, theater, or at a music festival.
